Gifted and talented pupils shall include those pupils who give evidence of high-performance capability in intellectual, creative, artistic, leadership, or specific academic areas, and who are in need of services not ordinarily provided within the scope of a regular K-12 school program. These students shall be identified systematically in order that their learnings in their respective areas of talent or giftedness may be maximized through various means: enrichment, course compaction, accelerated learning, development of critical thinking skills, etc. Some of the Groups/Teams include but not limited to: Science Quiz Bowl Women in STEM at UW-Platteville Civics Quiz Bowl Math Counts Visual Arts Festival Nat Geo Bee Battle of the Books UW-Platteville Engineering, Science, and Math Expo Destination Imagination Kids College Various writing contest Spelling Bees Lit Wars Invention Fair CESA 3 Workshop
